COVID-19 TESTING AND VACCINATION OPTIONS AND COVID TESTING RESOURCES

  •  UPCOMING BUSD TESTING OPPORTUNITIES

Please find below the information for future COVID Testing Clinics for BUSD Students and Staff.  These clinics are walk-in, no appointment needed.  One test per week is offered to each individual.

*Please be advised that given the current situation, long wait times might occur and/or cancellations and rescheduling of clinics might occur.  In the event of any cancellation or rescheduling, BUSD will send a message as soon as possible.

Today, January 24, our District will start a new COVID testing schedule that we hope incorporates the majority of feedback received and for the benefit of all.  Secondary schools will have COVID testing occur during the school day and primary schools will have available testing after the normal school day.  While testing isn’t mandated at this point in time, it is our goal as soon as we can be assured that resources can meet the demand.

We recognize there are a few other sites that still need to be incorporated into the schedule.  Thank you for your patience as we continue to work on scheduling details.

If a student has taken a COVID test at school anytime during this school year, they are already in Vital Health’s registered data base and do not need to reregister again.  If a student has not tested/registered yet, they must do so prior to testing.  Employees will be receiving at home test kits in the near future.  They have been ordered but are still currently delayed.  In the meantime, COVID testing clinics are open to employees as well and they must also have preregistered.

Here is the registration link:  REGISTRATION

All COVID testing is rapid/antigen unless otherwise specified.  If a student tests positive via an antigen test, they can immediately have Vital Health administer a second swab for a PCR test.

We want to provide COVID testing clinics that are efficient and accommodating to as many as possible.  As we begin this new schedule, we look forward to constructive feedback from our school sites to continually improve.  Please be patient as we all work to achieve the goal of keeping our children, staff, and schools a safe place to be.

If you test positive at our BUSD clinic, you will need to isolate and stay home. During your isolation, you should stay away from others and monitor symptoms for 10 days.  If the symptoms become more severe, please contact your health provider.  For Home Isolation Instructions, visit: http://www.publichealth.lacounty.gov/acd/ncorona2019/covidisolation/.

If negative, and you have no symptoms and are fever free, you may return to work or school. Please continue to monitor symptoms and reach out to your health provider if you need assistance.

If you are symptom free, free of fever for 24 hours and get a negative test (rapid or home test is accepted) on Day 5, then you can return to school or work. Before returning to school or work, please submit your negative test results here:   https://forms.gle/piqzEYiH7LRc9gZT7
