    May 28, 2021: Superintendent's End-of-Year Message

Dear BUSD Students, Families, and Employees:

Wow, what a school year! Attending promotions and graduations this week has been extra special for me. The themes of resiliency, empathy and grace were mentioned over and over again. It was wonderful to celebrate the accomplishments of our students and hear their plans for the future. With our young leaders leading the way, I know we are in good hands! Congratulations Class of 2021!

Please take a moment today to express gratitude to at least one person who helped you this past year. Whether it is via social media #gratitudeBUSD, text, phone call, or in person, let us let those who helped us through this year.

To our parents and guardians, thank you for partnering with us throughout this pandemic!

To all BUSD employees, thank you for your dedication to our students!

Finally, as we head into Memorial Day weekend, I would like to take a moment to reflect and honor all of those who have died in military service to our great country.

The Board of Education and I wish you all a wonderful summer and we look forward to returning to a “Better Normal” in the fall.

    In gratitude,
